Data Protection Notice
Before registering please be informed about the following: Your personal data is going to be used by AUTh and the Greek ACM-W Chapter for the purpose of responding to the needs of organizing the 4th Summit on Gender Equality in Computing (GEC 2022). The joint data controllers are AUTh and the Greek ACM-W Chapter, who are responsible for the overall organization of the event, as well as the communication with the participants before and after the end of the event. They are also responsible for the online registration of the participants to the event.
The purpose of the processing of your personal data is
- handling invitations and participation requests,
- reporting on the event, as well as
- event follow-up actions, such as sharing presentations among participants and feedback collection.
Please note that the entire event will be recorded and may be published on Greek ACM-W chapter’s website and / or relevant social media channels, as well as on YouTube. With your registration you accept that you will be photographed / filmed / recorded on behalf of the Greek ACM-W Chapter during this event and you authorize the Greek ACM-W Chapter to make free use of the photographs / films / recording bearing your image or voice in all types of publications, broadcasts or online communications for disseminating information about GEC2022 and the Greek ACM-W Chapter, and that the Greek ACM-W Chapter shall be the right-owners, right-holders of any as such applicable proprietary rights, (e.g. copyright) of such filming, photography and recording works, entitled or authorized to exercise and grant any permitted by law rights of use, reproduction, dissemination of such material, for legitimate purposes of use to the extent permitted by law worldwide.
If you want us to stop using photos / films / recordings of you, we ask you to contact us at gec22@acmw-gr.acm.org. We will then no longer use your personal data.
The Greek ACM-W chapter is compliant with all legal procedures in respect of personal data processing, as set out in the applicable European and national law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU/2016/679). We would like to inform you that you have the right to access, the right of information, correction, update, blocking and/or erasure of your personal data in accordance with the aforementioned EU Regulation and applicable national laws. In addition, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
